Lorain Martell is a Half Elf Cleric of St Cuthbert.

Lorain was 63 years old and had long dark auburn hair that unless allowed to flow freely, was tied at the nape of her neck. Lorain could be seen as serious by those that do not know her well, once past her guarded exterior a witty and relaxed personality was exposed.

Lorain had been a servant of St Cuthbert for many years and believed in protection and strength and was the hand of her God in these matters; adept with both magic and a great sword.

Twenty-three years Lorain was travelling back to the City Of Cauldron when he and his party came upon a sacked baggage train. While looking for surviours she and a fellow Cleric Ordllanach Stoneheart discovered to their mixed horror and relief a human baby under the butchered body of a female human.

The female was long passed from this realm but her dying act appeared to have been to protect the child.

Lorain and her party took the child back to the Church Of St Cuthbert were they initiated a search for his family. After the search proved fruitless they adopted the child and gave it a shared name of the two clerics that discovered him so naming the infant Ord Martell.

Lorain and Ordllanach Stoneheart were jointly responsible for the education and upbringing of Ord Martell.

Lorain was killed at the attack on the Lucky Monkey while escorting Sarcem Delasharn from Sasserine with the Wands Of Control Water. Her body was returned to the Church Of St Cuthbert by The Righteous Others .
