Intro

The Cauldron Region is in in the mountains crossing the centre of the large continent south of Kernow. See Map Of Aarill.

The surrounding area is mostly sub tropical jungle that Cauldon rises above majestically.

The nearest large city is the city of Sassarine, which lies more than a weeks hard travel to the north and is part of the Kindom of Garance. The Cauldron region though is so far from the capital that most people living there have never seen one of the Kings guards or ever paid a penny of tax to the Crown.

The major city in the region is of course the City Of Cauldron. Other human populated places in the region are the villages of Redgorge, Kingfisher Hollow and Hollowsky. There are other places to visit in the area though. Firstly there is the Lucky Monkey a small stop off for travellers going north which is about a days travel out of Cauldron. The rest of the interesting places in the region don't attract many visits from your average Cauldronite, being that places such as Demonskar, The Hanunted Village, Keep Of Jarl Khurok and the Ruins Of Shatterhorn are rumoured to be haunted by undead, demons or worse.

Coinage

Local currency is minted in Sassarine and consists of the copper penny (1 cp), the silver shilling or bob (1 sp), the gold pound or guinea (1 gp) and the platium crown (1pp)

Each is worth 10 times the previous so there are 10 pennies in a shilling, ten shillings in a pound and ten pounds in a crown.
